“Doors by Design” has become Scotland's market leader for the manufacture of bespoke veneered and laminate doors, doorsets and ancillary products since the company's inception in 1998. We have achieved this by providing quality of service and products and meeting the diverse needs of our customers.

Service is important to us and we offer specification advice on the whole package by providing architects with technical information at the design stage. We are flexible to meet site delivery requirements and reduce site work by offering ironmongery pre-machined for less hassle on site. Our CNC Router delivers accurate machining of apertures for ironmongery and detailing. We work closely with leading ironmongery suppliers and are not tied to one in particular. We are committed to delivering excellent service and quality products to the diverse needs of our customers.

Working with designs from a wide variety of sources and countries stimulates ideas for us to develop. We use our experience and expertise to blend the variety of materials and shapes together into new unique and innovative designs.

We are constantly investigating new materials and exploring their capabilities and are happy to help clients develop their ideas and put them into production, combining old and new materials, skills and shapes.

In our constant strive to further improve quality and efficiency we continually investigate new machinery and processes. A recent example is our Hoffman Mitre system, perhaps unique to Scottish door manufactures and was first seen by one of our staff in the Middle East. This system has enabled us to increase efficiency and quality simultaneously.

Doors by Design has enjoyed organic, if exponential, growth since its inception in 1998, and the directors have managed to keep pace with this growth by investing in new people, processes, and machinery.
